Causes, Charity, and Poisoned Hollywood
My personal ethics require that others benefit from my going into business, not just myself. I will be donating portions of profits from the store to various causes.
Pandora's Aquarium
Pandora's Aquarium is the oldest message board on the internet helping survivors of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault, as well as their loved ones in the healing process. Pandys is in the process of becoming a nonprofit organization: "You are not alone! Pandora's Aquarium provides peer support for survivors of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse and has been devoted to recovery and healing since 1999. Our online support group includes a message board, chat room, and survivor blogs. Pandora's Aquarium, a registered non-profit organization (501(c)(3) status pending), is free to join and is safely moderated by a diverse group of survivors."
I am excited to announce that Pandora's Aquarium will be the main beneficiary of donated funds originating from boutique sales. :)
Other causes I want to support include:
* My local rape crisis center/domestic violence shelter
* My local homeless shelter
* Farm worker rights and advocacy
* Finding a cure for breast cancer
* Fighting child abuse
And the list will grow longer!
