Jewelry Making & Beading for Dummies by Heather Dismore & Tammy Powley This book is the best jewelry making book for beginners that I have found so far, and it's a joy to read, with lots of projects for you to try out! The Part of Tens also includes a great list of beading & jewelry sites of different kinds, which are all quite helpful. |

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Beading, Illustrated by Georgene Lockwood This is also a great instructional book, and it has some nice sections, including the history of beads, and also goes into depth on the subject of bead shapes and finishes. |
